Every KirtanFX product installs in under two minutes. Find your file type below, follow the steps, and get back to editing.
Animation presets
- .ffx
- After Effects
Text Animator Pro, transition packs, and motion presets all ship as .ffx files. Installing them once puts every preset inside your Effects & Presets panel, in every project, forever.
Unzip the download
Extract the .zip anywhere on your drive. Keep the KirtanFX folder intact. The folder structure is what groups the presets inside After Effects.
Windows: right-click the zip and choose Extract All. Don’t drag files out of the preview window, or they’ll copy incomplete.
Close After Effects
Fully quit the app before copying files. After Effects reads the Presets folder on launch, so anything added while it’s open won’t appear.
Copy the folder into your Presets directory
Paste the unzipped KirtanFX folder into the path below. Swap the version number for the one you’re running.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2026\Support Files\Presets\/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2026/Presets/Permission denied? On Windows, run File Explorer as administrator. On Mac, macOS may ask for your password. That’s expected when writing into Applications.
Relaunch and find your presets
Open After Effects and go to Window › Effects & Presets. Search for kirtanfx, or expand * Animation Presets › KirtanFX.
Apply one
Select a text layer in your composition, then double-click a preset. It applies at the current time indicator, so park your playhead where you want the animation to start.
Don’t want to install anything? You can apply any .ffx directly: select your layer, then Animation › Apply Animation Preset and browse to the file. Good for a one-off, slow if you use presets daily.
Motion graphics templates

MOGRTs give you the same animations as our After Effects presets, with editable controls, straight inside Premiere. No After Effects required.
Pick the right version
Every KirtanFX MOGRT product includes three builds. Use the one that matches your setup. Installing the wrong one is the single most common cause of a template that won’t load.

Open the Essential Graphics panel
In Premiere, go to Window › Essential Graphics and stay on the Browse tab.
Click the install button
Bottom-right of the panel, there’s a small icon for installing a template. Click it, select your .mogrt file, and it appears in the browser instantly.
Or drop them in manually
Installing forty templates one at a time is painful. Paste them all into your local templates folder instead, then restart Premiere.

AppData on Windows and Library on Mac are hidden by default. On Windows, paste the path into the Explorer address bar. On Mac, press ⌘ ⇧ G in Finder and paste it there.
Drag it to your timeline
Drop the template onto a video track above your footage. Select the clip, switch to the Edit tab in Essential Graphics, and you’ll get controls for text, colour, speed, and timing.
LUTs
- .cube

- DaVinci Resolve
Colour grades ship as .cube files. You can load them per clip, or install them permanently so they show up in your app’s built-in list.
Premiere Pro, per clip
Select your clip, open Lumetri Color, expand Creative, and choose Browse from the Look dropdown. Point it at the .cube file.
Premiere Pro, installed permanently
Quit Premiere, paste the .cube files into the Creative folder below, then relaunch. They’ll appear by name in the Look dropdown.

Apply Effect › Utility › Apply Color LUT to your layer and select the .cube file.
DaVinci Resolve
Go to Project Settings › Color Management and click Open LUT Folder. Copy your .cube files in, come back, and hit Update Lists. They’ll show under the LUTs tab in the Color page.
Grade first, then LUT. Balance exposure and white balance before applying a look. A LUT dropped onto unbalanced footage will exaggerate whatever was already wrong.
Overlays and stock footage
- .mp4

- Any editor
Light leaks, film grain, dust, flares, and paper textures. Nothing to install. These are video files you import and stack.
Import and stack
Drop the overlay onto a track above your footage. It’ll look wrong until you set the blend mode.
Set the blend mode
In Premiere: select the clip, open Effect Controls › Opacity › Blend Mode. In After Effects: use the Mode column in your timeline.
Scale and trim
Most overlays are delivered at 4K so they hold up when you scale or reposition them. Trim to length, or slow the clip down for a longer, softer effect.
Scripts and extensions

Tools and panels that add a UI inside After Effects. These need one extra permission setting the first time.
Turn on script permissions
Go to Edit › Preferences › Scripting & Expressions and tick Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network. Without this, panels open blank or throw an error on launch.
On Mac, Preferences lives under the After Effects menu.
Install a .jsx panel
Quit After Effects and copy the .jsx file into ScriptUI Panels. Relaunch, and it appears at the bottom of the Window menu as a dockable panel.

ZXP files need an installer. Download ZXP Installer (free, from aescripts), open it, and drag the .zxp file onto the window. Restart After Effects and find the panel under Window › Extensions.
Mac blocked the installer? Right-click the app and choose Open rather than double-clicking. That gives you an override prompt Gatekeeper won’t show otherwise.

Presets aren’t showing in Effects & Presets
Almost always one of three things. You copied the files while After Effects was open, so quit and relaunch. You copied them into the wrong version’s folder, so check the version number in the path. Or the panel list is stale, so open the panel menu and choose Refresh List.

Presets can’t open in a version older than the one they were built in. Update After Effects, or send us your version number and we’ll share a backsaved copy where one exists.
My MOGRT won’t load or shows a red screen
You’re likely on the wrong build. Each product ships Windows, Mac, and 2025–2026 versions. Try a different one before anything else.
If that doesn’t fix it, clear your media cache: Edit › Preferences › Media Cache › Delete Unused, then restart Premiere.
Text looks wrong or fonts are substituted
The pack’s fonts aren’t installed on your machine. Look in the Fonts folder inside your download, install them, and restart your editor completely. Adobe apps only scan fonts on launch.
Windows won’t let me paste into Program Files
Close File Explorer, then reopen it as administrator and navigate to the path again. If your workplace restricts admin rights, install to your user preset folder instead and After Effects will still find it.
Everything got slow after installing
Large preset libraries make the Effects & Presets panel slower to search, not After Effects itself. If it’s bothering you, move packs you aren’t currently using out of the Presets folder. You can drop them back any time.
A preset applied but nothing animates
Presets apply at your playhead position. If your playhead sits past the end of the layer, or past where the animation finishes, you’ll see the end state and nothing else. Move the playhead to the start of the layer and apply it again.
I bought this before and want the latest version
Updates are free and permanent. Log in, open Downloads, and any product with a newer release shows an update badge. Download it again to get the current build.
